Don Moen Company

This post is both nerve-racking and exciting, because....

...To date, I would consider this my favorite shoot. There are many reasons for that statement, most of which I will not bore you with on here. Basically though, the concept for this shoot was more or less what I sometimes daydream about, and when it was presented to me, I wondered if someone crawled inside my head and offered me my thoughts. Kind of weird. Kind of awesome.

The bare bones is this: Don Moen (Platinum recording Christian music artist, and former President of Integrity Media) went out on his own last year to start The Don Moen Company as well as non-profit Worship2Action. The DMC's headquarters is here in Nashville, and this shoot was specifically designed and conceptualized to design their space. Hope you enjoy:

Thanks to G.I. Inc for the the gig and the killer space. You guys rock.

Baby Abram.

Babies, babies, babies. My life is encircled by babies these days! And to think my world is about to be completely rocked with my own baby. Unbelievable...

...sorry, I just drifted off here at my kitchen table thinking about it. For those of you who have never experienced the anxiousness of your first child, your first step/leap/fall into parenthood...it's completely overwhelming in an incredibly not-so-normal kind of way.

Anyways, this little guy is special because he is family! His name is Abram, and he's pretty awesome. Check him out:

Maternity:Wife

Well, as some of you may know, my wife and I are expecting our first child in September! We are expecting a baby girl, and for those of you about to ask: no, we don't have a name picked out yet :) While as a photographer I will not be promoting my services for maternity photos, I can't pass up the opportunity to shoot the most beautiful woman in the whole world can I? Thus, here she is, beautiful belly and all.

I may post some more on my website (www.jonathanfrazierphotography.com) in the next couple weeks, keep an eye out. Til next time... -Fraz.

Creative Fix

Sometimes living in cubicle-land can really get me down, stealing away my creative juices...

...but then I have to remind myself not to be confined by my surroundings.

iPhone:CameraBag

I've recently been heavily inspired by photographer Chase Jarvis for numerous reasons, but one thing he is well known for (aside from being a ridiculous photographer) is this statement, "The best camera you will ever have is the one you always have with you." For him (and I) he is referencing his iPhone. Well needless to say, I was inspired! So I actually paid for an app. on my iPhone (gasp!) and paid $2.99 for CameraBag. If you can scrounge $3 and you love snappin pics, DO IT! You won't regret it...10 different legit filters. So snap away, keep the creative juices flowing, and always use two hands ;)

Here's a couple pics I snapped in the car (right when I bought it!) on the way to Indiana...

Did I mention I took these through windows going 75 mph...? Love.It.

Rachel & Eli Lessing!

This past weekend I had the wonderful honor of shooting my friends Rachel & Eli's wedding at The Cool Springs House in Franklin, TN. You might remember them from their engagement photos that I did as well:

Well - they had a PHENOMENAL outdoor wedding, and just when the handy-dandy weatherman forecasted rain, the good Lord shone down upon them and parted the clouds. It was absolutely divine. Enjoy some takes from the day...

This wedding was one of a kind and couldn't have gone off without the combined efforts of Michelle at Spring Hill Weddings and Events, and Amie from Simply Exquisite Event Design.

Also can't forget to mention Bonnie from Belles Fleurs for the magnificent flowers, the delicious picnic-style feast put together by Merridee's and top notch cupcakes from Curious Gourmet.

Another epic day in the books - congrats guys!

Season's Harvest

This was my second advertising shoot for The Season's Harvest (a fresh market down in Cleveland, TN), and I felt so honored that they called me to come back once again! Here are some of the shots we got for their next promotional piece:

Thanks to Ad Solutions Group for contacting me once again - much appreciated!

Connor Benson

I should have seen it coming. Baby boy, six weeks old, no diaper, my comforter. Yup, he peed. But it's OK, cause the pictures turned out great! What's a little pee when you go home happy with the shots? His name is Connor, and he's awesome. Check him out -

Isn't he a righteous little dude? Cheers friends -

CMA After Party

I was absolutely honored when Universal called me once again to come shoot an event for them. This time it was the CMA after party held downtown in the Suntrust building. It was an absolutely crazy night, with good fun had by all. Big props to my boys from G.I. Inc for putting together an AMAZING space. Here's a few takes from the night:

That's George Strait, Julianne Hough, and Shania Twain respectively. It was a big night for UMG - Shania's 'comeback appearance,' George won album AND single of the year, and Sugarland got vocal duo of the year. Great night, and great party!

Lee Ann Womack - CD Release

Last night, Universal records had me come out to Lee Ann Womack's exclusive CD release party at the War Memorial Auditorium here in Nashville. This was my first time at the venue and man was it legit. I spent the first part of the night mingling and shooting during the cocktail hour(s) and then had all access to shoot the performance. She sang her album straight through and sounded phenomenal. It was a pretty intimate night being that it was invite only, which made it all the better. Here's a few from the night:

Keep an eye out for another event I'm doing for UMG Nashville coming up soon!

Ohio Avenue

This past week was pretty cool for me as I got to shoot the band Ohio Avenue. They are a passionate group of guys determined to relay a message of hope and love through their exciting approach to melodic rock. They are truly rad guys and although the morning was a little rushed, we had a blast. Check out a couple shots:

Also, if you are ever in the Pensacola, FL area - KC's wife Lorena lays down some sick ink. She just so happens to have tagged me - and her work is legit!

Alright friends, that's all for now - be well.

Taylor Swift

No pictures in this post (cause I'm not allowed) but I just had the AMAZING opportunity yesterday and today to assist photographer Tony Baker on the Taylor Swift shoot for her upcoming album 'Fearless.' Crazy.
